Traini is a small US-based startup (founded by Chinese entrepreneur Arvin Sun) that built a multimodal AI dog translator turning barks, facial expressions and behavior into human-readable emotions and training tips. It went massively viral on Xiaohongshu in spring 2025 when a '说狗语挑战' note drew nearly 10k likes and Xinhua Daily Telegraph's XHS post '能让狗子说话的AI产品Traini火了' hit 83k+ likes, sparking a cross-species communication craze. The team used AI-assisted development (an in-house PEBI model on top of LLMs) rather than a big corporate R&D org, and the app now serves 1M+ dog parents worldwide
