MemPalace

MemPalace is an open-source, fully local AI memory system co-built by actress Milla Jovovich and developer Ben Sigman using Claude Code over several months. Instead of letting an LLM decide what to remember, it stores every conversation verbatim in a 'memory palace' structure (wings, rooms, halls) and retrieves via vector search, scoring top marks on the LongMemEval benchmark. It exploded on Hacker News and Xiaohongshu alike as a celebrity-coder sensation.
